Telling Stanhope’s ESG story through illustration

ESG is an increasingly important story to tell, but how to tell it in a way that feels both ownable and authentic?

We were briefed to craft a series of illustrations that use Stanhope’s brand colours to liven up the language of ESG.

The process
In a closely collaborative creative process with the client, held largely over Figjam, we determined the boxes these illustrations needed to tick: warmth, narrative and big blocks of brand colour. We identified the ideal illustrator for the job: Yo Hosoyamada, whose sense of colour, texture and charm, not to mention her background in architecture, was just the right approach for a client operating in the built environment. Together, we extracted ideas from the supplied texts and developed the visual elements for themes like Stanhope’s B Corp status.

The results
Thanks to Yo’s skill and the collaborative nature of the project, we landed on a beautiful suite of illustrations to guide Stanhope’s ESG communications. These were published in their annual ESG report, the success of which has led to the client commissioning additional sets of illustrations the following year.
